It has been a few years since the Gold Canyon Brochure has been updated. The new revised brochure is finally here!

License Plates

The GCBA has "Gold Canyon" promotional license plates for sale.

License Plate

These plates are for the front of your vehicle and have Gold Canyon and a small mountain graphic emblazoned on them. The cost for these metal plates is $8.00.

They can be purchased at Goin' Postal, Gold Canyon Bank and Canyon Rose Storage as well as at GCBA meetings.

10 Cyber Security Tips for Small Businesses

Broadband and information technology are powerful factors in small businesses reaching new markers and increasing productivity and efficiency. However, businesses need a cybersecurity strategy to protect their own business, their customers and their data from growing cybersercuirty threats.

1. Train employees in security principles. Establish basic security practices to protect sensitive business information and communicate them to all employees on a regular basis. Establish rules of behavior describing how to handle and protect customer information and other vital data. Clearly spell out the penalties for violating business policies.

Gold Canyon Lions Club
8th Annual Casino Night

March 10th the Gold Canyon Lions Club is holding their 8th annual Casino Night to support the Lions Camp Tatiyee for handicapped children, and provide assistance to individuals with other special needs.

They need help to pull this event off, they are looking for sponsors to help with the cost of the event. They also need donations of gift items for raffle and silent auction. Sponsorships are $125.00, gifts can be of any value.

100% of all funds raised are returned to the community and Lions sponsored projects. They have raised over $45,000 in Gold Canyon in the past two years. The goal for this Casino Night is $12,000.

Tickets for the event are on sale at Canyon Rose Storage, Gecko Expresso, Mountain Brew Coffee, MountainBrook Village Office.

MountainBrook Village
Business Fair

MountainBrook Village is proud to host the 3rd Annual Gold Canyon Business Fair on Thursday, March 29, starting at 9:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. at the Superstition Center.

The "Jazz Coffee Cafe" opens at 8:00 a.m. providing coffee and pastries and Jazz..

There will be live entertainment, door prizes, special event prices and promotions, food and fun.

Every year this event gets better. New attractions have been added that will be sure to please. Read more about the Business Fair in the February issue of the Ledger.

Remember, when we buy locally more of our money stays here benefiting our community. Our Local businesses need and want your support.

2nd Annual
Lost Dutchman State Park
Benefit Ride

Superstition Mountain Harley Davidson is Sponsoring the event again on Saturday, February 18th.

Motorcycles, bikes and horseback riders are all welcome! Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Lost Dutchman State Park. This organization has saved the park from being closed due to State budget cuts.

Greg Stanley is also the Interim Assistant County Manager of Development Services. He will be our Guest Speaker at the February meeting.

Learn from Greg who is responsible for the care of the general landscape of Gold Canyon. Greg will share what can be done to enhance the area including sidewalks, brush removal, roadway paving, curbing, clean up and tree trimming.

This is an evening that will be of great interest to all residents. The whole community is invited! If you have an opinion on the continuation of Kings Ranch Road "Walkway", this is the chance to share it as well as any other opinions.

A light meal will be sponsored by Gold Canyon Bank, at 5:30 p.m. Please email Patti Pier at ppier@goldcanyonbank.com to RSVP so that we can be sure to have enough food..
